$77 Dollar Chinese T53 Arrived

Post by Tennessee_Mosin »

Well here is my latest Gunbroker buy.

I know a lot of people are turned off but the T53's but they kinda grow on you--I got it for $77.00 and $35.00 S&H

Longcolt said it is a wartime stock--There is not a cartouche anywhere on the stock--man this stock has been through hell!!

The metal is not pitted and very nice.Very strong rifleing--I have not cleaned it in anyway, you see it just like I took it out of the box.

I guess I have to collect all the years now I have a 1954 and a 1956--what are all the years of the t53's?

Here is some pics

That one has definitely been used hard and put away wet.

That's because most people are SPOILED by all the pretty refurbs, they forget what a regular milsurp looks like after a lifetime of service and no idiot government to spend billions refurbishing it. This $77 type 53 is ten times nicer than the average offering from the first lot of '53's back in the late 80's.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

I love my T53. And my stock looks like it was used to hammer stakes in the ground. But they sure are a lot of fun to take to the range.
Yours looks pretty nice really.
Enjoy.

Looks great! All the years are 53-56 and 1960.
I'm broke because I buy milsurps. I'm rich because I buy what I enjoy.

I agree this one looks great. I looked at a whole wall full of T53's once at a Ft Worth gun shop, maybe a dozen rifles, and none looked as good as this one and they we're 169.00

Looks great, mine had a coating of what looked like mold all over it. I think they picked it up out of a rice field in Nam.
Anyone here ever pick one up from SOG ? I'd like to know a little more about those since they're about half the price I paid for my first T53.

i ordered two around a month ago one for me and one for a friend, at $89 each i would like to buy some more at that price and just tuck them away. the two i got were in the usual shape beat up stocks not cracked or broken tho and fair bluing and good bores. although one did have a bolt that enters the receiver very hard and i asked for a replacement bolt and they said no either return rifle for exchange or nothing so im just keeping it. headspace was good on both to. cant beat the prices.
