Sweet! Easily worth 2-3 times what you paid for it.

The U.S. Surcharged production did not begin until nearly 300,000 units after that one was built. I have only seen three or four others before the 1.165 million serial number with the U.S. Eagles. One even had a curved logo. Just theory, but these early production rifles must have been left over at NEW when the U.S. Gov't purchased the final order.

So aside from being quite nice, it is an extremely rare occurrence.
I concur. Most likely spare parts used to complete the US contract after Russian production ended. All US surcharged rifles were assembled at East Springfield, and this one has a Fox made barrel. Thousand dollar rifle if it would have gone the distance.

Got this bad boy home. No wonder these break $2k quite often. It is NICE! One observation I can make is that the magazine floor appears to be un-numbered since it's not removable. The retraining clip is actually pinched into the floor plate so it cannot be unhooked and floor plate swayed open.

That was a steal of a price. Racerguy00 and I both saw that auction when it started that Friday, but there was no Buy It Now option when the auction started. When we looked again on Sunday, there was a Buy It Now, and you had bought it. The seller didn't know the current market value for that rifle.

Yeah when it first listed with 2 other auctions none had BIN. About 3 days later i shot him a message asking about the gun and he would take pre-paid shipping as shipping via my account cuts shipping to a 1/3 the cost. Since there were no bids at the time I asked him if he happens to have BIN price as well. He send me a message back that he would take the label and BIN was added. So as soon as his message arrived I went and checked out the auction and quickly hit the BIN. The other two auctions also got BIN, which were very current market valuel

So you took advantage of an uninformed seller. A number of collectors were willing to pay market price for that auction. Literally a steal of a price.

Hard to take advantage of anybody when both parties enter into a contract at their free will.
