Does anyone have a pencil drawn picture or something similar of a Mosin round? I want one/some for a tattoo. I could always get a artists to draw one up, but I thought maybe somebody had something that I was looking for.

Just take a real cartridge for the artist to tattoo on you, working from the real thing they should be able to get it right,
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Heat a cartridge up and then press it to your delicate skin. He can fill in the blistered outline with ink.

On Facebook? Check out the non-sporter preservationist group at: OOOPS. Deleted by Facebook because it's evil to even discuss collectible firearms on social media these days.

That would still be less painful than being shot with one of the damn things.

For sure...I like to get tats that mean something to me, and that I know will mean something for the rest of my life...So why not put a 762 x 54 r round on myself? I will be shooting and/or loving Mosin Nagants until I die...bunkysdad wrote:Travis I'm glad you knew I was kidding. If you get this tat we would like to see it.

Don't do it. Putting a 54r round on your skin is just like putting a name of some girl you just met on there. What are you going to do if decide to collect 8mm Mausers. What you can do is have an ammo belt done then put a different caliber in each link.

Full Metal Jacket bullet traveling at high velocity. It tends not to deform on impact with flesh but to travel in and out clean. If you weren't hit in a vital area and you had help nearby you stood a good chance of surviving the hit. The huge slow moving bullets of the 19th century black powder weapons were far worse. They would shatter bones to fragments in arms and legs when they hit, amputation being the only cure for that back then, even today you would be wearing steel rods for bones.travisgreyfox wrote:I do not know if this is a true statement or not... Navin: Gosh! You have my last name tattooed right there under the j’s! First I get my name in the phone book and now I’m on your ass! You know, I bet more people see that than the phone book.
