I sure like shooting my 91/59 now. Took a few trips to learn it, but I look forward to shooting an M44 soon.

Howdy to a fellow San Antonian. My favorite time at that range was dodging the red wasps as I was shooting at the pistol range. They get kinda feisty when it gets hot.
We have met the enemy and he is us.

Nice going. Except...that IN-N-OUT burger t-shirt made me hungry. The nearest one is 2500 miles away.

Love my M44. Its a sweet shooter. Its distinctive "boom" and muzzle flash always gets comments on the range. Mine also got involved in a random NRA instructor training incident where the instructor wanted to show the students how body armor/kevlar helmets would perform against a high-powered rifle. Warned him....but yea....went clean through. Maybe that was his point. :D

Nope only 1100. We have them here now. Still never been there. But I did have some sliders last week.

In n Out Burger is new to the Dallas area and they are great, but we have old Faithful Whataburger and nobody can take their place. This thread is about to go off topic and jump to food, which is about right around here. Ok, back to shooting m44 carbines. Very nice shooting day.

Never been there.

Glad to see someone at the range!!!! I'm hoping to get out on Tuesday with Entropy for some range time. Been to damn long! :angry4:

In-N-out Burger rocks! I got that shirt at a Dallas spot, but there is now an In-N-Out here in SA. Whataburger is a Texas thing and beyond good! But back to the shooting... My m38 is rapidly becoming my favorite shooter. There is just something about the Carbines. We shot yesterday and Mrs put 40 rounds through her 1934 Hex 91/30. At 100 yards she is doing very well.

We can shoot year round down here which is good and bad...great to shoot , but a years worth of ammo can get pricey.

I grew up in LA and live in TX, and In'n'out kills Whataburger any day

I'm torn between a 91/30 and an m44. Y'all think I could snag a m44 for 150-160 that can shoot well?

I bet you can, if you have your cash ready and start looking and be ready when you find the one you want, and even look at the Chinese T53 carbines as well. A decent one should be in that price range.

I prefer Steak and Shake, the burgers good, the fries outstanding. At least for my particular tastes.

The next time I go to the range I am firing all of my carbines, because I haven't fired any of them yet. That's an M1 carbine, an SKS, and an M44.

I sooooo want to shoot them.
