A few of you helped me out a week or so ago on my new bargain. http://www.russian-mosin-nagant-forum.c ... 13&t=20157
With your help I haven't it back in its appropriate furniture...almost. Realized that my hand guard was cut down while reassembling. It is well on its way though. Even found a correct, but not numbers matching bayonet.
Now for a hand guard.

Re: On its way back
Good deal, Numrich has supplied me with many a part over the years. I used to love to go up there when they had the retail store open.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Numrich has helped me out quite a bit over the past few years. I've bought a 1903a3 stock set, and a Garand stock from them in the past, and have been well pleased with what I received.

Tonight I found the handguard I need on Gunbroker of all places. Soon this will be back to its old glory.

They are great and the catalog may be able to stop a bullet or become a weapon for those strong enough to pick it up and hurl it at someone.Junk Yard Dog wrote:Good deal, Numrich has supplied me with many a part over the years. I used to love to go up there when they had the retail store open.
If at first you don't succeed, reload and try again.

I may get in trouble here, but, after dealing with Gun Parts Corp, aka Numrich Arms for 20+ years, they've decided to not sell firearms of any type to California, so no more business from me. The more that people shut off California, the more they cede power to the Gov't, the more it emboldens them to expand into states that otherwise feel "immune". Not an opinion, just an observation developed over 40 years.....
Re: On its way back
Sorry to hear that. They were one of the few places with a nice stock for mine with all the metals. California will have to do something to help themselves however. As long as the people there allow their govt to control them the govt will. California will have to use the ballot box to take their state back.

Re: On its way back
Numrich is a local business so to speak, up in West Hurley about 30 miles from were I sit, they used to have a nice retail store back in the day that sold guns to all us locals, but that closed just before the turn of the century. They probably have enough to do trying to figure out New York's gun laws to start figuring out California's. You will not get in trouble here for bitching about Numrich, they are not paying any bills here last I looked, and I wouldn't care anyway if they were.JER wrote:I may get in trouble here, but, after dealing with Gun Parts Corp, aka Numrich Arms for 20+ years, they've decided to not sell firearms of any type to California, so no more business from me.
