Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
Hi, I am called Adaxco,
I have two Mosins that I bought in the last month. I joined a shooting club and have been out every weekend since, shooting up targets and of course only using the iron sights....Oh, one is a 42Tula and I find that the production is superior to the other(I still can not get that name correct) you know the Ish......
Thanks and I will be around,
Adaxco

Re: PLEASE NO COMMENTS IN THE MARKET PLACE!!
Rare? No, not greatly so, it's a Finnish army 1941 VKT M1891 Mosin Nagant with the pol marking ( Finnish army used this marking before 1942) I would put it at moderately rare, they are around, but no longer seen every day. I know there is at least one other on the board , Finn M91's tend to be the best shooting M1891 you will find. This being due to the new barrels the Finns put on them, and the tweaking for performance they did to the entire rifle. It's a good find, and would sell in the $350 range, sometimes a little more. Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

New member - just got access today.
Not quite sure how this works, but here goes.
Mosins are starting to breed at my house. I'm picking up my third one today, but first M44. The others are 91/30s.
Anyway, really like this forum, expect to learn a lot.

Howdy! I'm Jakobs. I only have one Mosin currently, a 1942 Izhevsk, but man I love that rifle. I assume it's completely possible to get Mosinitis with only owning one..

Bought my first Mosin M91/30 and picked it up last Friday. It's clean now and looking forward to going to the range. It is a Izhevsk 1929 with all matching #'s except for the bayonet. Looking for a good resource for all the proof marks etc. One in particular is on the butt of the stock that looks like a square with a line going from the top left corner to bottom right corner.
Thanks,
Treacy "Lab Guy" Elliott
