M44 from J&G, Laminate

Post by Historyfan »

Just got here yesterday. 1944 VERY nice bore and no Counterbore! It's my first Laminate Stock, and it is in pretty good shape, but absolutly no shine left on any of the wood. All mi 91/30's have a nice shine to the Shellac, but this little Carbine is dull. Very few light scratches, but overall I am very happy with this newest addition. Should be a nice shooter by the looks of the bore. I'll post up some pics this weekend.

Also the guy at J&G said they have stopped selling Spam cans alone, and will now only sell them with a purchase of a Mosin. I got one can and it came with an opener, so no need to dig one out of any of my stock crates. :)

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
