1909 M91

Post by vtxmosin »

I bought this gun with a cracked stock at the wrist. I glued the crack last night and while its visible, its way better than when I bought it. There is no movement in the stock now and I'm going to live with it until I come across another stock. Or I may just leave it as it is. Anyway, here are some pics, some from before the glue and some after.

Last 2 pics are after the glue job. The pics don't do my try at glueing any justice, but its way better.

Nice finned Sestroryetsk Congrats  Put a few rounds thru it to see how the crack holds up. It's not something you would want to run scores of rounds thru on a regular basis any way. Great collector rifles. :Drool1:

Very nice! A shame about that crack. Good job with the glue though.

Cracked stock or not, that was a good find :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Beautiful gun. The Sestroryetsk arsenal stamping is fantastic. Nice find. :Drool1:

I agree with others. The Sestroryetsk marking adds a premium and the crispness of the markings on this one are an added bonus.
