I hope they at least gave him a new phone to compensate for his loss.

Phones almost evolved back around full circle.

They were bricks that had to be plugged in to your house to work.

Then they became portable and the race was on to see how much smaller, lighter, and thinner we could get them.

Now, people want them to do so much that they are competing to see how big they can get the screen and the batteries last such a short time that you almost need them plugged in full-time again.

I had a phone in my Corvette I bought in 1989. My partner in a construction business had to have one also. We thought it was cool to be able to communicate with each other while going from job to job. It was cool until one day we both pulled in to the parking lot at the shop and we were met by our bookkeeper, also my partners wife. She came up to us and in only she could do demanded we unplug the talkie part and give it to her. It was costing .90 for each call and .45 per minute....each phone both ways. We got them back but no more BSing. The phones at that time were costing $2000.00 installed.

I don't know about this being a problem. Any one of us who is on the internet and forums leaves digital traces. Heck , some of us are still listed in the white pages for everyone to see your address. There is business records, marriage licenses, school records..... ALL readily available for anyone to search. All of us here who have posted their "inventory" here on the page are at risk that a crook will find our real name, address and when we plan to be at the range the next time just to empty out our homes. Now posting a pic of that secret range spot we discovered it would suck to find that someone pulled the GPS coords out and share it around with a bunch of bubba's.
We can not change that we live in a digital age, use of technology which can save lives and allow us to be on this forum sharing information while at the same time running the risk that some privacy is lost is an individual choice and the risks are something people need to be aware of before posting images or whatsoever that they don't want people to know. There is no right or wrong but that video does in my opinion not pose a threat.

I just like having a camera in my pocket for the times when you're 10 feet away form a Lynx or if you see a fox on top of a log pile.. :D

And you might be happy to hear that besides being the 750th image (the fox that is) in some series your images provide zero exif data, no gps, no exposure, no camera type, no focal length, nothing.

I always have a little point and shoot digital camera in my shirt pocket. The Canon Elph 330 HS takes full HD video , and 12mp stills, yet is the size of a couple packs of gum. With the 128 gb card I can shoot with it for hours, even the battery life is at least triple what my old Nikon Coolpix was. Amazing technology! The big DSLR is even more amazing, that thing takes huge size pics, and can make even the most hopeless photographer a pro. It's hard to take a bad photo with these cameras.

Sure they do; Trac Fone sells seveal different models; they're all I've used since I got away from the Micro-Tac and Star-Tac Motorolas in the 90's. I won't get a quote/unquote "smart" phone until I'm the last one with a flip phone and they pry it out of my hands. $20 every three months, double minutes, way more than I ever use, so they just keep racking up.
