My New Acquisition!

Post by smacneighill »

I haven't posted in awhile ... and since I acquired a new member to my family (a Walther PPQ M2, in .40) ... I thought I would share some pics with you guys! I have no range report yet. I picked this up just this past Wednesday, and I'm going to wait until Mother Nature is a wee bit more considerate! It came with all kinds of goodies: 3 back straps (a small, medium and large), a chamber flag, 2 mags, a mag loader, and lock!

And of course, the QC target from Walther:

Nice new shooter :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Hey, it's good to see you back. And you got yourself a very handsome pistol there. I love shooting the .40 S&W. It is a real powerhouse but manageable in a polymer frame pistol. I have a P22 that looks like your pistol's Mini Me. :P

Looks good Jimmy!. Glad to see you around. We need to try that thing out when the weather breaks.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Nice pistol. 40 smith is the perfect cartridge IMO. For some reason it just hasn't taken off in popularity.

Thanks Jim and bunkysdad!!

Erik, yes we do! We were going to take it out this past Saturday but, we had other commitments that took a wee bit more time than expected so, it ended up being a no-go for some range time.

Fintowin, I agree! I have always been a "9mm guy". But, after shooting my brother-in-law's .40 ... I was sold. I almost opted for the PPQ M2 in 9mm (mainly so my wife and boys can shoot it ... but I don't think they'll have any issues with the .40), but decided on the .40 at the last second.

"DE" Deutschland (Germany)! Production year is 2013 (or "BD").

It has the eagle/N proof mark. As well as the German government proof mark (the Ulm "antler").
