Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

I to only have one SKS too but it's an all matching numbers Chinese beauty and a fine shooter. The best thing about it is in doing the research on it I got to find places like that other forum and this one and meet new friends like Old Outlaw, and Martin. Although they are hardcore collectors they have both gone out of their way to answer every question and treat me like I am somebody. And yes I'm going to come up with a Mosin. Moose guy is schooling me on what to look for. Any other help would be appreciated.
And Outlaw if you say one thing about that butt extension being a bubba item, I'll drive up to Iowa and mark my territory on your doorstep.
Real gun control is the ability to hit the target.
I agree with your comments on Outlaw and Martin. OO recently helped me through a purchase and the tone of his replies almost sounded as if he was as excited as I was! Martin too recently answered a question I had for him. Both good guys...along with several others on here!
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
MILLMAN!!!! it's good to hear from you as well, my friend.
@ Martin, thank you. Honestly, I threw no thought into it. I don't have all of the "tacti-cool" gear most others have . . I just quickly set it up on my kitchen table for a quick shot (unfortunately, my cell phone didn't take a very good, quality, photo this time???).
