Don't be "that guy"

Post by raydogg30 »

So, while at work I was checking out the local Mosins for sale, came across this wonderful guy, and seriously considered punching myself in the face repeatedly. I love mosins, bit you don't bubba them, slap an $1,100 price tag on it, then claim to outshoot any .308 or AR "on the market". If this is anyone on here, I take full responsibility for my actions when I say you're a douche. I'm hoping no one from this forum would be this brain dead. Rant off. Now, back to my search for a Mosin who will adore me like my mom does, no matter what!

I just gouged out my left eye after looking at the link. I swear I'll do the right as soon as I'm done posting
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Looks like someone is compensating for shortcomings elsewhere, Mall Ninja for sure, they all think that technicool shit will make them Rambo. Then I come along with an axe and take them as they stop to have a crap, liberate their weapon, remove all the useless junk, and then go hunting for the next Mall Ninja :devil2:

I'd say he broke it alright. Do you think he meant 'Brake'
At least he didn't do a hack bent bolt job.

Well Raydogg, if this helps you out. You will never see a Mosin in plastic or sported wood or chrome on this forum. Check out the rules and regulations when you get a chance. We are dead serious when we say we are a preservation forum. There are 7 guys here that monitor every post and the all have a big orange edit button. One step beyond the orange edit button is a big red BAN button. Our Administrator Bunkysdad is in Texas and he hates plastic. I even had to send him a set of custom wood grips for his CZ 52 so he wouldn't cut it up in little pieces.

Mall Ninja shooting instructions
1- cock weapon
2- turn tacticool super shooter around so you can see the muzzle
3-place your lips over the muzzle ( come on now, we know you have experience putting cylindrical objects in your mouth)
4- while blowing down hard to force air into the muzzle to seat the bullet reach down and press the trigger part to the rear to seat the primer
5-now you a good Mall Ninja, go collect your gold Bubba star in hell.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I can't see the link (or the atrocity), but I don't have to.

It's just impossible to understand such behavior.

Plastic has a place in the firearms business. Glocks are made of it, Mosin Nagants should be packed in it when shipped.

I can't afford any of that plastic shit unless it's the bag my Ramen comes wrapped in.

There was a link... One of us 7 removed said link. No need to show that kind of thing here on this Forum.

I don't know if I'll get the Big Orange or Red button expressing my opinion but if someone want's to mess with their gun, so be it! I have a friend that modified his Mosin stock and that's ok, but not for me. Another guy at work called them junk after I bought my first. I asked him why he thought so but I already knew the answer.....can't mount a scope like you can with a modern rifle. This gun is NOT for him! I like Mosins as an original piece of history and that's why I'm here learning as much as I can so I could build a fine collection.

Not for you. Good for you. :vcool:

Tbh I'm good with the mod removing the link, after cooling down I quickly realized that other people would be just as "rant filled" if not more than I was. If you didn't see the pic, you're not missing out, some loser destroyed an amazing old battle rifle, if you did see it, log that as the true definition of "bubbas gone wild".
Hope you are all staying safe in this crazy weather. As for me, I'm heading to the PD range to sight in a new AR build, then to shoot the Mosin @ 100 yards. Pics to follow.
