Swedish M94 carbine, just thinking out loud !

Post by Jbob »

As I mentioned in another posting about a Swedish M94 carbine, I wondered on to one of these fine rifles at the home of a cousin of my wife.
It's the only military rifle he owns out of about 10 and he told me he really has no use for any of them but the 3 he uses to hunt various game.
I've made a couple offers and then just let it go to see what happens and he's brought up the rifle a couple times since then himself but not taken my offers.
Last offer was a NIB Henry lever action 22 with ammo plus scope if wanted. He mentioned at that time he would like to find a 223 of some type for his 13 year old son and I asked what brand and offered to shop around for him. I've decided to go one more offer of a NIB 223 Remington 700 with scope, I've purchased a couple of these nice rifles for my son in 223 and 243 priced between $400 to $500....

I can shop for another M94 but this one I've seen and it's correct numbered all over plus original sling.
Cousin is best friends of the family and more like brother and sister to my wife.

I can't go more than this but I really like that rifle. Wellllll I could but dang that much money could by a lot of sweet Mosins too.
What to do what to do ????

If he accepts, that's a pretty good deal for you. These are worth a bit more than 4-500 bucks. They aren't going down in value, either. Seems like these carbines just keep going up, on the nice matching ones anyway.

Our paths didn't cross after all today so to heck with it. I have another good friend who has a M96 and a Husky M38 for just a little over the price of the new Remington so I'll go that direction for now and if the M94 falls my way later on then okay and if not that money can go towards more Mosins.... Kind of ugly little rifle anyway, I can't figure the big deal on them myself. Rare I guess.
