last fall my cabin got kicked and stuff was stolen one item being an old jukar musket my great grandfather left for me. Anyways last week i was on armslist and i seen what looked very similar to mine but had been stained where as mine hadnt been finished yet. I mentioned to my wife that i had seen one she took it upon herself without telling me to meet up with this guys and get it she was positive it was mine too only had been stained it isnt but still amazing she did that for me so it does fill the gap of the one i had stolen some though. heres some pics of the one she got me.
Nice, that was a big time seller in the 70's, I still shoot mine
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

NEVER EVER, ALLOW YOUR WIFE TO MEET UP WITH SELLERS OF GUNS W/O HAVING ANOTHER PERSON THERE W/ A GUN THAT KNOWS HOW TO USE IT! That scenario could have proved very dangerous for your loved one.
There are too many horror stories in the news about those kind of situations.
she carries plus i guess she had my dad in on it too she texted him the license plate of the seller and met at a gas station and parked right up by the entrance. but like i said she did all of this without telling me, but yes we do hear alot of bad stories of situatlions like this that went badly

Like JYD said, these were a decent quality and affordable rifle that was popular back in the 1970's and early 1980's. I think they came in both flint and cap lock, and there was a pistol version that used the same lock - I had one of the pistols but sold it about 10-12 years ago.
CVA also imported these rifles and sold them as their "CVA Kentucky" back in the 1970's. I still have one in .45 cal. cap lock that's in the original box around here somewhere - as I recall it's unfired. I'll dig it out and post some photos when I get the time.
