How to be MEAN with your Mosin

Post by TopperT »

At the club I belong to the indoor range has been undergoing a refit and modernization and has been closed for 8 months now. It seems all the small bore shooters have taken to getting into the outdoor pistol booths and the regular rifle stations Sat mornings because they don't have a winter indoor thingy going........ These guys are shooting their "indoor" stuff and its not exactly "EXPLOSIVE :big shock: " stuff at 1050 fps of less  ...........anyway I was working with my M39 "B" and some new handloads and had brought along my M38 AND 50 rounds of your typical MulSup.
So its all morning long all I hear is my "so-so" loud 7.62's, going off (not really loud at all) , and ALL of THEIR :devil2: .22lr's going "pop" "pop" "pow" "pow" "pop" and I could not stand it anymore....so I quietly took out the M38 and loaded the bastard up and let fly :popgun: :popgun: :popgun: :popgun: with four rounds ! FLAMES an all!! What a freekin noise!!!......... :chuckles: :chuckles: :chuckles: :chuckles: brought the place to a standstill...... :chuckles: :chuckles: . Just gotta love the little Mosins.........

I never fully appreciate the volume of my 91/59 until somebody else shoots it next to me.

Minor irritation maybe, cruel? No, no, no, not at all, you were just educating them as to what a real rifle sounds like, you should have charged for that. Cruel, now that is a whole different thing. Cruel would be if I went to Bubba's house, or rather his Moms house, he lives in the basement, bashed open the door with the M39 I would bring with me, dragged him out from under the bed, smacked him upside the head with the buttstock, use full force to slam his balls with the steel buttplate, laughing all the while, then used same buttplate to pulverize his cell phone so he can't call 911. That would be cruel. Leaving him there to take the blame for the busted door, and my muddy boot prints all over his moms white shag carpeting as he explores hitherto unexplored realm's of pain would just be the icing on the cake.

My shooting buddy and I occasionally hit our local outdoor range with plans to both bring our M38s.... I hear a lot of "What the BLANK was that" in between the car alarms going off in the parking lot. Love the carbines....

Everytime I head to the range some panzy arrives & plink/plinks with his black rifle with uber scope & long range aspirations. They shoot one round at 200yds then proceed to spot the target, then plink once more. I fire off a volley from one of the carbines & the look I get is priceless. What I need is my own private range & F@#K them all. :devil2:

25 years trying to find an original unaltered GEW98 and having to deal with Bubbas f***'d up rifles over and over again provides all the hostility I need .

GEW98... One of the finest looking rifles out there. Curse the B@ST@RDS who hacked them all up. :no2:

When I go the range I almost always carry at least one carbine and box or two of the oldest hottest Russian ammo I have left. That way if you get some Yahoos that you wish would leave you can grant your wish in a couple of mags full. I have heard things like what the heck is that a hand cannon and I usually say nah that is my hunting piece I am having trouble sighting in and I need to work with it awhile. Instantly they pack-up and head for the vehicle. Works every time! Bill

I guess they left their big boy pants at home, f***in Nancy Boys who can't handle a little noise and concussion.

My 10 year old girl and I both like it loud. If you can feel it in your chest, it'll give her the giggles.
