Ruger American
Finally got her set up. Cabelas had a 22mg bdc scope for half off. Got it today. And a spare mag a couple of weeks ago. Having trouble finding 22mag though. Got 50 rounds today but it wasn't cheap. And got another 50 coming from Cabelas with a shirt that was half off too.

Nice rifle, good luck with the .22 mag, I am hoarding all that I have.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

22 Mag is hard to find. I have about five boxes (250 rounds) of various types for an old Marlin 783 that shoots very well after all these years. The Ruger American looks like a nice rifle for the money. Congrats!

I looked at a American rimfire the other day finally. They are very nice. I like the thumb safety too. I think also the shorter youth model would be nice with the adult butt stock added.

They have new models coming out. The .223 stainless intrigues me. Both in full size and compact.
