Idk if my M24 is my best purchase anymore for this year. Before midnight, I bought a Bushmaster XM15-E2S (run of the mill AR15), for $480. They're $1,000 gun right now. Obviously I like my M24 way more, but I think dollar wise, this one kind of takes the cake! Gotta love a young and dumb tattoo artist who takes an AR as a partial trade, then sells it for $480. Merry Christmas to me!

The lists made me think about what all I had bought last year. There were a fewer new guns I had been looking for and even with the "panic" I was able to stumble upon some of them for pretty good prices. They usually showed up when there were no good milsurps around.

I started the year with ZERO MN rifles. Once I discovered the rich history and relative affordability of these war relics I was hooked. Plus they are really fun to shoot. Have a baker's dozen now. With help from this board and similar ones I have enjoyed hours of research and met interesting folks. Here is what I think is the most interesting Mosin I found this year. A 1915 Finned Westinghouse with lots of great stamps to research. Most of the various manufacturers parts are represented on this rifle somewhere! It is an accurate rifle as well.
