What's your favorite trigger?
I notice that my M28 has ZERO creap......nice and crisp...I really like that......I think I heard they changed that on later models......I notice also that my M39s have substantial creap........probably better if you're wearing heavy gloves.

What's my favorite trigger? The one on my rifle, of course!

The set trigger on my 1874 Sharps
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Re: What's your favorite trigger?
No question at all, the best trigger I have is on my Finnish M28-76. It is a M27 style trigger with the trigger pivot pin mounted in the sear. The finns also cut the sear on either side of the face to make it look like a flat-top pyramid. I am guessing this helps by reducing the surface area of the sear as it reaches it's breaking point. It's a very nice 2 stage trigger and works great for match shooting.

Re: What's your favorite trigger?
Rifles triggers change with use and age so things in my mind are not stagnant and subject to that when used often. This is I would think what JYD eludes to when he tells us it has to be worked in a bit. I love my RV27 trigger and it has gotten much better with use too. It scares WVChuck because it is so light and he is the one who likes the K31's which I find ridiculously light and every time I shoot one are scared by them. That is however the way military instructors say we should feel toward a rifles trigger to learn to shoot well though. In truth I have become so used to the strong pull most Mosins have that anything lighter is suspect in my mind. I do find most 91/59 triggers to be very light and quick breaking, matter of fact for awhile there I was totally addicted to themand owned too many to count and not be embarrassed! Bill

The trigger on my 1956 HRA M1
The length of travel and amount of pressure just feels so right.

My favorites have to be the double set triggers in many of my flinters. Once set, there is no pull, just a medium touch to the side of the trigger is all that is necessary. With the Mosins, for me there seems to be two types. On the EBLOC and Chinese carbines you come across very crisp and seemingly lighter trigger pulls. The Finn two stage is very nice too. Nice amount of take up and very crisp when that slack has been taken up. I can't say that I have "a" favorite though.

The one on my SMLE #2 is amazing for a milsurp. The Canjar on my Remington 788 is

One of my M 38's has a very light trigger. I din't know if someone worked on it in the past or what but it sure is nice.

Re: What's your favorite trigger?
My T53 has an insanely light trigger pull to the point where people ask me if I did anything to it at the range, (I didn't.) while my m38 nearly takes the whole Russian army to pull it.
I'm broke because I buy milsurps. I'm rich because I buy what I enjoy.
Re: What's your favorite trigger?
I thought this was going to be about Mosin triggers. Best trigger I own is on my S&W Model 19-3 in single action.

I meant it to be about various MNs, but what the heck........Most sensitive trigger I've tripped was an electric one on the Cadillacs on an M68 105mm rifled cannon - M60A1 tank...one shot, one kill at 2750 meters. Optical sights are great!

I own 3 Mosins, and my Romanian M44 has a very nice trigger. Triggers on my 91/30 and M38 aren’t so hot. May be my worst triggers, but the muzzle flash and kick make me forget about the trigger.berkmberk1 wrote:I meant it to be about various MNs, but what the heck
