My first Mosin is a winner.

My first Mosin is a winner.
I haven't found my way around here yet. I know I posted this in a thread someplace I think but I wanted to say something about mu first Mosin Nagant in my own thread.
I had been thinking about buying a Mosin for several months though I'd only seen one or two. About a month ago I went into my favorite reloading store and there was an open crate. What fun.
I noticed one that was different than the rest. It was a hex. I went home, got on the web and found out that hex was desirable for some reason. That was everything I knew about a Mosin Nagant. I went back to the tiny store and bought it. My first Mosin and hand picked by me. !933 Red Letter Hex MO 1933/50 with all matching numbers in excellent shape. I'm dun'fer now. I just took possession of an M44.
Here is the M91/30.

I don't even have pictures of the M44 yet. Saturday I will.

You did good with that one for sure! A MO and red letter to boot, and nice woodwork on it! Rub a coat or two of Old English lemon oil on it and enjoy it!

Thanks everybody. This is very kind of you all.
My head is still full of my recent finds. I've seen so many nice rifles. When I come down to earth I'll visit your threads too. Soon I will know a little more about what I'm looking at.

Never held a Mosin in my hands till March of this year and I now
own 3. A 1917 Remington, 1928 Tula and a 1948 M44 that appears
to have never been issued. These really are addictive. I have a crate
of ammo but need stock up while I can.

Congrats on the find..........Gregg

It looks like a winner. Are you shooting handload soft point 7.62x54r? I'm guessing this is out west...Arizona?

I'm probably not going to handload for these. The spam cans are still economical enough.
I live in Las Vegas. This is 20 miles south of town on BLM land. I have the worlds largest and most diverse shooting range. LOL.

Saaaaaaweeeeeet

You have a really decent red rifle. There are not a lot of Hex, MO's in red out there. This one looks very good too. Good catch.

Is this a PW ARMS import?
