K11 from AIM- Pictures inside

Post by Spaxspore »

This will give you an idea what you are getting for the folks still waiting.

The good

1. The import mark!!!! WOW, very tiny under the barrel

2.All matching down to the stock/handguard

3. Metal condition is 85% with beatiful honest wear.

4. Great looking stock

5. The first swiss rifle i have that has its troop tang with the rifles #. I took a pic of that, will be up later.

The meh

1. The bore is near mint, but there is a very minor frost about 1in from the muzzle.

The ugly- NONE!

EXTREMELY pleased, and an upgrade over my current k11 which this one will be replacing.

Sweet K11 Spax, love the darker stock, the one I picked up from Simpsons a while back had the lemon color stock. Help me out on the P stamp, I think it means it was sold or released to the soldier after his military service. BTW very nice pics

Very nice! I am so tempted to get into these, but I'm trying to keep my collection from getting out of control! Plus I'd be adding an extra caliber to stock and potentially reload for.

Yeah Tim, so what's the problem?:P
Spaxspore, I gotta get me one of those woodpiles! You have a beautiful rifle here. I have no Swiss rifles yet, only access to a nice k31 that my brother bought. Sharing is just not the same. Another great pictorial layout by Spaxspore, and a nice choice of screensavers too!

PS- what does Spaxspore mean, and am I saying it correctly if I say spacks-spore like it looks?

Spaxspore really means nothing. As for its punctuation its pronounced exactly as it appears SPAX - like PAX but with an S sound.. and spore - like tree spores. So SPAX.SPORE

I picked it when i first got into computers and have used it ever since. Its unique enough that i never have had a problem registering an account any where. :)

.

I like my k31s as well.

Very nice Spax. Here's another one I'm sure I'll regret not getting but there's that whole stocking up on a new caliber and well the money to actually buy them.

Mike, that's only one side of it. As a mechanic and officionado of mechanical perfection, you need one for the excellent straight pull design. And you don't have to have as much ammo if you shoot it less often.8-)

Very nice! I guess I should check out what AIM has to offer. The only thing I've ever ordered from them was some stocks a year ago. Two were beat to hell. I wasn't impressed.

Yeah I get that and if I had the money to get one I'd probably get 4 but alas, there's other priorities to take care of. I'll just have to be content with the 36 rifles I already have. :D

Yeah I heard that. Measly little ole 36 is just gonna have to do. What I have had my eye on is the Wideners 4 Swiss rifle asst for 1700.00. I told Santa and instead of ho ho ho, I got a no no NO!

Russell I saw those when they put them up. I seem think they've been there for a while. Might have to bribe Santa to get those. As for the 36 I bought when I had the cash. It was fun while it lasted.....but, I still have a bunch of them I haven't posted here and haven't even completely cleaned or shot. Plenty of time for that. Let's just say I have a bunch of fun still in storage. :D

Yes, that's what the "P" stamp indicates. My K31 is P stamped.

I have thought about getting a K11....I have 2-K31's and they are great...both had troop tags...actually managed to make contact with one of the Swiss soldiers confirming, much to his surprise, that his "old good rifle" was in the USA!...may need to post some pics.
