43 Izhevsk 91/59

Post by Rongo »

Well here is the 3rd one... #3 0f 4 in that package deal I got.

43 Izhevsk 91/59. Really solid bore (7 of 10), healthy crown with no counterbore, all matching with electropencil bolt, Post war front escutcheon & War expedient rear escutcheon along with a cool stock repair near the receiver. Earlier Century Import billboard on the receiver & a bit of Plum color to the barrel.. Especially under the wood. The trigger breaks like glass like the rest of my 91/59's... Overall a pretty sweet little carbine.

I'm not a big collector of the carbines, but I've got to get me one of those some day!
That's a sweet looking rifle and good photos too. Congrats!

A great find Ron. I would have bought that with a rust filled bore to get a stock repair like that.
