That should outshoot your Mosins.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

my goal is to shoot clothes pins at 100 yards, so yes indeed the hubble was necessary. A friend of mine has a 20x on his for quite literal pin point accuracy

With that scope you will learn to use a good chin weld on the stock rather than a cheek weld. I have the wood stocked left hand version in both 17 and 22 mag with identical scopes. That way I can use whichever ammo is available.

I also have a wood stocked heavy barrel 93r17. Great, accurate rifle. If I do my part I can get around 0.3" groups at 50yds. It has a 6-24x BSA scope on it and usually use it around 15-18x for target shooting. The power is nice for seeing your shots without a spotting scope, but is really only useful off a bench. Its on medium Weaver Grand Slam rings and is about as low as it can go, can get a decent cheek weld.

The little round impressed me :D I've got a Marlin 917 and a Cz452 in 17HMR. It took a while to figure out how to get the Cz scope as low as I could, the rear sight is very, very close but actually doesn't touch the scope.

That CZ is really sharp. One of those has been on my wish list for a few years now.

The 17HMR seemed to weather the run on ammo for quite a while so I was able to buy up some boxes here and there. Unfortunately the supply finally dried up locally. Online availability is there but hit or miss.
