Won an Anschutz Karibiner on GB yesterday
They listed it as a "training" rifle but I think it is just a German boys rifle as it does not have a military type rear sight. On my theory that just about any old single shot 22 from a major maker is worth $125 I splurged and spent an extra $11 on this counting delivery. Since this is just a basic rifle I'll not post pics unless it cleans up real nice but the closed auction number is #370860419 if you want to take a look.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

This rifle would have needed capture papers documenting it was picked up at The Kehlsteinhaus from a VERY famous persons house to be worth anything close to 1K, in my opinion. I have a Winchester 67 that my G-Grandfather bought new the first year they were available which he used for pest control around the farm. I think this is a German counterpart to my Winchester 67. Single shot, manual cocking, simple sights. $101+$35 shipping so I paid $136. Now the other side of the coin is that there is a LGS which a member of the Anschutz family visits on a regular basis. He is always on the look out for examples of rifles that his Grandfather personaly built in the pre-war years. So if this has his Grandfathers makers mark stamped on it and is not an model that he has the trading value just went up.
