I am jealous of both those 1927's! Been looking for one for awhile now.
I was able to find a 1937 and two 1938 Tikka's this year that had even lower production numbers but I would imagine that with attrition the 1927 might still be rarer today?
Truth is, that is not even my best tiger stripped Finn rifle.
I was admiring your collection on that other website. Good stuff man.

I was thinking the same thing.

Well, I am very happy to see these. Now, ..what are "wings"...Judi and her Mosin's
Here are some pics for those who aren't familiar with the term, "winged bolt". The M27 bolt is on the left, the tabs on the rear of the connector are the wings. The receiver on the left is also slotted to accept the tabs. The gun in comparison (right) is a 1942 Tikka M91
Great stock on the '34 - love it. I have two M-27's ('30 & '34 both Tikka) one with winged bolt design ('06 Tula receiver) and the other normal with undated Tula receiver. Both with updated nose caps.

First Year of Production, (only 799 barrels were produced the first year, this is #295) 1927 Tikkakoski (Tikka), 1899 Tula Receiver, "Wings" on bolt and receiver
Another early one and less than 20 numbers away from Dolks example, we can only wonder how many 1927's are left?????? According to Vics site 69,000 Tikka M27's made and only 26,700 M27's total remained in inventory in 1951.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
