If it fires black powder, it is discussed here.

Parker Hale 2 Band Enfield (Lots of Pics)

Post by tjtM38 »

I picked up this beautifully made English Parker Hale .58 Cal 2 Band Enfield at the local gun shop today. I have verified all proof marks as British and the serial number indicates it was among the first 3000 produced in Birmingham England in the 1970's. The only issues with the rifle are some minor marring on the right side of the stock, probably from rubbing against equipment during reenactments. The bore is perfect and the weapon looks unfired. Enjoy the pics.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Let me make a short, open, blanket comment. There are no good guns. There are no bad guns. Any gun in the hands of a bad man is a bad thing. Any gun in the hands of a descent person is no threat to anyone--- except bad people. -- Charleton Heston

Guns are not good, they are not evil. Save those descriptions for the people holding the firearm. -- Unknown

Eons ago when I was young and skinny I was a re-enactor (2nd North Carolina infantry regiment) and I had a buddy who bought one. The rest of us were using Navy Arms reproductions or GASP :beek: original stuff. :beek:
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Paul, 1200 meters might be a stretch for the .577 Minie Ball, but I may just take you up on it some time.
