I actually found...
...some .22 WMR ammo at Wal Mart today. WOO HOO! A few bucks more than I'd been paying but not prohibitively so.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Good deal. I have been hoarding my small supply, and have left the .22 mag in the safe. That is the problem with living in Kentucky, where everybody and their brother has a bunch of guns. We still cannot find ammo at Wally world. Everybody is still looking for it.

That's good news. I don't own a single firearm in 22 magnum. I do have a Ruger Single Six revolver in 17 hmr and a Mossberg rifle in 17 hmr and love them both. Have you seen any 17 hmr at Walmart lately?

What I've been seeing at the Wal Mart by me are some of the less "popular" calibers. .223, 5.56, 30-06, .247, 7.62 x 39, etc.. Of course, it seems like shot shells have been readily available during this whole thing. I've had no problem at all finding 20 Ga. shells. Occasionally .45 and 9mm but they don't last long. The .22 Mag were the first I've personally seen anywhere since about February.

I happened to be walking through Walmart last week about 10:00 am and checked out the ammo case. They were putting out that day's shipment. I got a box of Federal target .22 lr . 325 rds for $18.97. A little more than I had been paying , but cheaper than most. That gives me about 2400 rounds now.
