Bought My 2nd Hand Gun This Week

Post by BubbaDX »

Since we had so much fun with our trips to the gun shops earlier in the week, me and a buddy went to a couple gun shops again today. On Tuesday he found a Smith and Wesson Custom Shop 1911 that he really had to have for his collection. At $1400 it was a little bit out of my range. On Wednesday I picked up the Nagant. Today I found this and had to bring it home with me. I have wanted one of these since they were first released.

This is my first 1911, but I can already tell you there will be more. Just not until I get my new safe, I am busting at the seams with firearms needing a safe place to sleep. Anyone else have the Ruger SR1911? I cant wait to get this to the range and put a couple rounds through it.

Nice! Ive been drooling over these since they came out :Drool1:

Nice! You can't go wrong with a Ruger, and you certainly can't go wrong with a 1911! 8-) :vcool:

I recently completed the required firearms training for concealed carry in this state. A good friend of mine and coworker shot one of these next to me at the range for qualification. I got a chance to put a couple of clips through the pistol and was very impressed with the fit, finish and practical accuracy of this .45.

The local gun shop is having a Ruger-sponsored sale on all things Ruger next weekend. Last time they did this, they sold over 1000 guns in a two-day period. This may be a small town, but it is big on gun ownership. Maybe I'll see what price they have on these at the sale.

I think I have a new favorite handgun. I put 100 rounds through it today and it's a heck of a lot more accurate than I am. This is the first two magazines, 15 rounds, at about 15 yards. I only had 1 flier. But in general I tend to pull left with it. I think after I shoot it a little more I can pull them back into the center. I give the SR1911 two thumbs up

Love my SR1911... I am finding the same as you, it shoots better than I am capable of. The more I use it, the tighter the groups get

Great fit and finish, tend to be quite a bit snappier than most 1911s that ive shot, and that is quite a few. Just sent a sr1911 in for repairs for bad feeding issues non magazine related, so keep an eye out for that. Nice thing is you call Ruger and they email you a shipping label for overnight to the service facility in Arizona

Enjoy that .45
