Any SKS for $275 is a god deal these days i think. They are $350 for yugos here and higher for russians. SKS's are a blast to shoot and operate well in my opinion. I love my lowly chinese to death and so does everybody else that uses it. If i had any spare money i would grab one for sure. But alas all those mausers keep gettin in my and your way pacanis. Don't listen to the bad press on these they are excellant and easy to use and real easy to take down and clean.
