I know that sling, that is an East German AK47 sling, I bought about 20 of them back in the day for .25 each. They went and did this to a nice SKy rifle, shame, and they couldn't even be bothered to find a Finn sling.

The chances of you ever finding or proving even one existed are nill to next to nothing. The value of the parts you show would be about $550 or so and then allowing for them to be used and not set up right maybe $450 or so. Stay away unless you just want a Bubba shooter. Bill :o

Something cheap probably to go along with the twenty five cent sling.

Looks like a pal/dragonov (sic) scope. I know the website it's on, and am watching it to see what it goes for. I guess it'll be a toss up. I definitely say fake though.

That's as fake as they get. I wonder how stupid they think people are... well, on the other hand people are stupid and eventually they'll find a sucker to buy it for sure. Sad to see S.K.Y. butchered...

You will also have to plug the reciever holes from the mount. These where put together by I.O. back about 10 years ago, and while good quality they are not legit. On a side note the mount they use is very close to the mount used on the Czech. VZ 54/91.

Cut some bolts of the correct thread down to the right size and lock tight, or epoxy them in.

Me trying to weld them in would be the makings of a disaster of epic proportions, I have a welder but very little practice using it.

This is a newly made ( probably in Belarus) POSP scope designed for contemporary russian made weapons - Saiga, Vepr, SVD, Tiger, etc. They were never installed on any M 39 rifles by the Finnish military, so it's definitely a Bubba job. I did see the M 39 with a PU scope, but it also came from the IO in the 90s. Bubba must have gotten a permanent home in the Interordnance office :)
