Some modern fun guns

Post by pacanis »

Some of my semi-auto shooters.
A Saiga .410 that I converted (legally). I have a larger Magazine for it now, too. I think the mag weighs more than the shotgun does when it's full  I keep #4 3" magnums in one mag and #7 in the other, depending on what I'm shooting  Got sum slugs, too. Becasue why not. I got this about 5-6 years ago and the cheapie laser and reflex sight seem to hold zero just fine.

And my M&P 15X. This thing can really group. Older eyes and optics go so well together. It's got a flip up magnifier and the red dot cowitnesses. In case the zombies go after the battery stores first.

And my Romanian WASR 10/63  Cheap and effective. I put a Krebs peep/ghost ring on it. So much nicer than the standard rear sight.

Pacanis, you seem to have similar tastes in "fun guns" as I do. Nice collection. My WASR used to look like yours until my "tacticool" bug hit me. Now, I have more money in accessories than the original rifle cost!

It's pretty fun. Hold it at the hip, press the laser and blast away.

"Tacticool" ?? Is this were you pile a bunch of useless crap onto your weapon? Lean and mean moves better than fat and slow, works for guns also.

LOL, when I read your post, this is what came to mind:

Image

I only call my "tacticool" rifles that, because they are black plastic and not wood. Mine aren't really "tacti-cool" in the sense of useless Mall-Ninja garbage. I agree with you, though, if you have a 6-8lb rifle and add another 10lbs of crap to it, then it really no longer becomes very tactical. I guess it all boils down to, do the things one places on a rifle aid the effectiveness and accuracy of the round traveling downrange or hinder it. One can have all the expensive gadgets money can buy on his rifle and if he can't hit his target, then he should have spent that money on a bodyguard or something else.

See, that's the kind of thing that gets you killed before you have time to fire a shot. Besides having to drag it along in a wheelbarrow, you have to fiddle with too much before you can place a round downrange! Not very "tactical", too me.

I think the whole thing was staged. No way this kid is this dumb. He called the "Surefire" light, a "Surefree" light twice (It's written right on the side of the light). He called his L.E.D. light, a "lead" model. I especially liked his "rainbow" model sight with 54 colors, 73 brightness settings! Good lord..."You can't have too many bi-pods...Daddy always said"...I'm wondering if he knows who his real daddy is?

Exactly, the whole thing was a joke. It sure draws you in though. He could outfit 3-4 ARs with all that... maybe more!

Drago! Real enough for me when I look at what the Tacti-Cool Mall Ninjas are doing on the other place. Most of them don't know what they are talking
about either. Yet, they buy it, mount it, and post it. If they can't afford the basic AR platform, they cut up the SKS and make it look like an AR.
