Track of the Wolf Rocks!

If it fires black powder, it is discussed here.

Track of the Wolf Rocks!

Post by iwuzwhatiwuz »

After going to all of my local gun stores to find a powder measure I finally gave up and ordered one from Track of the Wolf. That was Thursday and I received the parcel today :big shock: ! Talk about fast, from MN to NC in two days. I Highly recommend The Track of the Wolf!

They are a good outfit, I buy flints from them, among other things.

I've heard many good things about them. Might be making an order after I get my revolvers in

They have a lot of oddball period stuff , and custom made flinters, but some of that can get expensive.

Yeah, I saw a couple tipping $5999 but they have been able to acquire top notch builder's rifles and are worth every penny to the right person. Don't know that I could spend that much though - 'sa lot of clams...

If you think they are awesome just dealing with, you should visit the store! My buddy Mark and I drove over there (he lives in West St. Paul) and spent the day drooling examining their stock. They were tolerant of our snooping looking around, and proved they are very knowledgeable about all aspects of BP; most, if not all of them have built BP guns, some of them having done it from scratch; building the lock pieces, making the barrel, etc. We ended up only buying a couple parts each-him some extra nipples for his Lyman Plainsman, and me some parts for my 1851 Navy, BUt they treated us as they would someone buying a whole rifle kit or a ton of stuff. I can't recommend them enough. And yes, their service is excellent; I've bought many items from them over the years.

Matter of fact, thanks for reminding me; I have to order a hand & spring for my 1860 Army. :)
