Check some of the recent posts, people were talking about ammo .

The going rate for 20 rounds is about $8-10 give or take.. However when you buy in bulk the price goes down, I got a spam can the other day of $110.. That's 440 rounds.. As for the clips, are they original or knock offs ?? Apparently the knock offs don't work too well, not that the originals were great either.

A good deal for 300 rnds would be somewhere in the vacinity of .22 per round if you bought a spam can. Higher with the clips. Silver tip? The knock-off's work ok if you play with the tabs but, depending on the rifle, sometimes they are hard to get in the loading track. I prefer just to load them up individually - no sense of urgency for a quick load...

I paid $65 in December. Don't forget you get the ammo, but when you're done you still have all the stripper clips.

I saw them the other day for 99.00. The problem is while I sat there wondering if it was a good deal they sold out again. So if you see something, can handle the price, then buy it. By the time you ask around it will sell out then next time be more expensive.

Not a bad price with the clips.

Here's a few examples. SGAmmo was the cheapest. J&G recently had this available about 24 days ago.The 300rd deal is the last market price. The 600 round deal for J&G wasn't resurrected when the 300rd deal was on gun-deals because they were only offering the 300rd tins. http://gun-deals.com/list/ammo/7.62x54R

Note: If you look down the page, each deal has it's pricing history if there was any changes.
SGAmmo:

I just received two 440 rounds spam cans of Bulgarian 1972 surplus for just under $160.00 from SGAmmo. When I ordered this past Tuesday they received 417 creates...they were empty within 6 hours.
