Unfortunately noise (much as I like it) doesn't equate with accuracy. That is what turns me on to any rifle. Bill

I can't even think of what it must be like to shoot either of my carbines in an indoor range !!!!

With doubled up well sealed ear protection (all I ever use there anyway) its not bad at all. With just foams or muffs alone though, nooo thank you!

A friend was sighting in his 270 WSM when I went last, and it was a sharper crack than the m44, but not as much of a thundering boom. Either would've been painful with single ear protection.

Here's Mo Sin Lee ( #53 ) at the public range closest to me. Now don't laugh too hard   . I'm doing this so you guys can start the weekend off with a good chuckle. My wife is the poor narrator.

Moe SEEN :) At least according to the Russian carpenter who is the only real Russian I know ( born and raised in Russia Russian who speaks the language) Pretty good shooting, don't worry about shooting high, most every Mosin will do this as they are arsenal sighted for 200 meters at the least. Six o,Clock hold, or aim for the belt to hit the chest.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Just got my M38 last nioght. I thought the M44 felt nice and handy but this one REALLY feels balanced. Loved the videos!!! Man, that muzzle flash and boom is awesome. If you can't hit him with the bullet, the noise and muzzle flash will induce panic and he'll run like hell.

Thanks I appreciate the compliments. We spent roughly an hour making a minute video...me and my 10yr old. He was the assistant editor lol.

Thanks all for watching and yep the m38 feels a tad more balanced, but the M44 with bayonet soaks up some of the recoil. Next time out we'll take the 91/30.

Everyone should be like rusko and get a carbine or 3. Get the wife one. Take the neighbors out and get them hooked. It's gonna be sunny and 70 degrees tomorrow-Sunday in the Dallas area. A great day to take a couple of Mosin carbines to get some group therapy.
