Took delivery of the Burns M39 today...............

Received the Burns M39 today. Very pleased. The '70 I already have looks like it just left the factory. I was looking for one that was "used. This one fits the bill, has plenty of patina, yet no structural flaws. Rifling is very good- bore is nice and shiny. Pleasant surprise was the sling. You can see it in the foreground. I expected a ratty one because it was free. This one is of the same quality as the ones I have ordered from Jarmo Aho in Finland. Excuse the lousy pics. I was buried at work, and didn't have a lot of time. 91/38 is due tomorrow.

Nice :) Should be the same quality sling, Burns got them from Finland.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Not really . . . Burns got them from Knoxville, TN. . . he's never been to Finland.
