Top down...

1949 Tula Refurb
1950 Tula Refurb
1953 Tula Refurb
1953 Izhevsk Refurb (I wrote this as I-z-z-y and the forum correct is to Izhevsk hahaha)
1954 Izhevsk (All matching, no refurb marks)
1956 Tula Refurb in a Polish wz49 stock (proper handguard on the way)

1967 M59 (best guess on year)
1973 M59/66a1 (Croatian Coat of Arms on receiver cover)

1966 Type 56 /26\ Refurb
1967 Type 56 [0138] Stamped Receiver (again, best approximation on year)
1974 Type 56 /016\ Security Force marked (again, best approximation on year)

Still looking for the Romanian and the Albanian, but not so easy to find up here. The others are even tougher.

Don't see many of them up here. This one actually has the US import stamp as well, so it obviously came from China via the US.

Very impressive collection  :Drool1: The wood on the '49 is beautiful, almost has a Finnish look to it

How hard are the Romanian and and Albanian SKS's to find in Canada? I got lucky and managed to find a low serial suffix all number matching 1957 Romanian. It took a good while to find the correct original sling for it. Original Romanian slings are far and few between.

Much like yours, my Security Force SKS is my most accurate one, followed closely by my '59 Romanian. The Security Force of mine is a pressed barrel /016\, it's a fairly uncommon model in the states also.

Haven't seen a Romanian, but I've heard of only one being found by an SKS collector up here. Albanians are non-existant. We are currently getting many all matching Russians. There is one company with 5 spike bayo'd 1949s selling at $500 each. Pricing ranges from $200 to $300 depending on refurb, no refurb marks or ones that are all matching and appearing to be uninssued. (Sorry to rub it in....)

Chinese are also in regular supply, with 316, 306 being regular arsenal stamps. Some don't have any triangle stamps.

Yugo's are hear and come up for private sale now and again. Last big import was last spring and it sold out quickly. No more Yugos are forcasted for import.

I believe Longcolt found several Albanian SKS's recently in Ohio.

Argh haha. I've thought about importing one. Not sure how the state dept is feeling these days about granting export permits to guns chambered in military calibres. ie 7.62x39. They'll let stuff out in civi chambres, say like 308. But if it says 7.62x51 OMG LOOK OUT! haha. Hit or miss.

They are not easy to find here, the Albanians anyway, the Soviet Yugo, and Chinese are much more common.

I thought the Romanian would have been available, seeing as how they were produced in higher numbers than Albanians. Anymore they are hard to find here. In the past year or so I've seen more Albanians up for sale than Romanian's. Two Albanians were in plastic stocks with the original gas tube and handguard, other two were badly overpriced. I had to pass on them and in the same amount of time I saw one Romanian in a side folder stock. :vsad: :vsad:

Here is a little payback for the price rub in   an all number matching 1957 Romanian with a Romanian sling, even has the cleaning rod and kit still in butt stock.

I know of one Albanian, but no Romanians up here. We thought we might see some along with some East German ones when Marstar bought that 10,000 piece SKS lot in Africa a few years ago. But John went and sold the whole thing to some big dealer.

The Romanians and Albanian supplies apparently got bought up quickly by the US importers. Yugo stock is reportedly scarce now in Europe, as is Albanian and Romanian. Sounds like Russian and Chinese are the only real supply now.

That "african" run from Marstar would have been wonderful. Oh the goodies that disappeared.
