Your right bb91, the $900 rifle was a Tikka. I just went back on 7.62x54R.net and found the old thread.

Ex-dragoon ~
Hard to find Russian civil war date~
Reused Imperial receiver~
SA marked~
41 marked~
Soviet recapture~

Even as a plain refurb it would look good.
The finger grooves are different for sure. Must have been cut on V-E day or something when the vodka was REALLY flowing. :D
Racerguy00, I just remembered that when I took the rifle out of the stock the receiver had the threaded grease hole only it had been welded shut.

Who remembers when/which ones were made that way?

Early Chatellerault. Keeps getting better. Can I be the first showcase vote?

When Ivan the stock maker stumbled across the SA and 41, the router got re-routed....

Excellent find and decision to buy. Double your money tomorrow if you wish!
No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....

Now that you got that collection in one rifle that don't mean you stop collecting other rifles, we expect you to top this one with your next one. We have a Finn RV 91 on the board today so you will have to top that also :)

Topping that is a tall order JYD! :D

It's great to know there's still some "rare" treasures out there to be found, that rifle is a holy grail and could be the centerpiece of many collections.

I was going to post up my new P26 but................ :big shock:
