I've got one by me, they have this on sale pretty regularly about every three months. I need to shoot more .22 or buy more ammo storage cans...

I wish I had someplace by me that sold 22lr this cheap. Even the WalMart is $19 or $20 a brick and then there's about 8.5% sales tax. I recently paid about $5 less than this for 5000rds but had shipping to pay making it about the same price as if I'd have paid the tax. It was part of a 670lb order so everything on the order was fairly cheap in the shipping department. All in all it's a good deal to walk in and pick up or order online but you need to buy more than one box if you buy online. Actually more like 5 to 10 boxes and the shipping is spread out further. I checked this deal at the 10 box/5000rds level and it was $17 shipping to me in Louisiana.mogunner wrote:I've got one by me, they have this on sale pretty regularly about every three months. Actually the way I've seen them advertise these recently was $159.99/5000rds and free shipping.

Hey Weldon,
Not sure if you have a Cabelas by you, but I saw they have Winchester 40 grain lead, 500 for $20. It came with a cool wooden case. I bought 525 36 grain Remington steel for $13 something last week-end, but the website is showing $20. Not sure if it was a week-end sale or what. I see that they have a couple of Federal 325 rounds for $13.
Not as good as the deal you found, but not too bad.

Hey thanks MN Fan. No Cabelas near me. I'm good for .22lr anyway. I have about 25 or 30K of them put up in ammo cans. I may never have to buy .22lr again, lol. I hope.MN Fan wrote:Hey Weldon,

Funny you should mention that. I have used ammo for targets before. It was spent shotgun shells. I used to shoot the primers out of them with a Winchester 22lr back when I had a steady hand. My eyes aren't good enough to do it now either.MN Fan wrote:You could use ammo as targets and still have plenty!
