The UPS lady just delivered my first spam can of ammo from AIM. Does anyone know how to read the codes on the can ????

Thanks Jim

It says 440 rounds of ammo, open me and shoot me. :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

You guys are funny, lol. This might help. It's Bulgarian (10 in the circles) 1971 LPS Steelcore (painted silvertip) That's what the Cyrilic symbol лпс means and what the Silver stripe of paint is on the can. The tin below doesn't have the silver stripe painted on it because it's mid 80s and they'd stopped painting the tips of steelcore rounds. Same ammo though. Not all the older silver tip ammo cans had the stripe either.

The silver stripe on the can means silver tip. This is the standard 147 grain round. Steel. Core, copper washed casing.

Isn't this also the boattailed bullet type ammo? I haven't pulled a bullet yet but that's my understanding.
