Another RGun PU

Post by NETNshawn »

My first post. I pulled the trigger and got a RGUN PU. I have not had a chance to get some good pictures because of the weather for the past 2 days. I will get some up once my weather clears some. I did take a quick pic of the scope and receiver markings.

One question I have. Should my scope mount have markings by electropencil? I see a faint stamping but it does not match the scope or receiver stamp.

Welcome to the forum, nice PU
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Congrats on the PU   My scope mount didn't have any EP marks on it. Some do and some don't. When you take the hand guard off, see if there is a number written under there. :ugeek:

Jumpwire,

Would the number be on the barrel under the handguard or on the hand guard itself?

It would be written on the upper hand guard (front part of forestock) in the barrel channel (on the wood). It should match (if it is there) the serial number of the rifle. Would look like this,

Most of them don't have the number under the stock. If it is, they tried to keep the same stock with the same rifle. Because matching the cutout on the stock to the actual mount location, must have been hard.

It doesn't mean anything really.

Nice PU sniper! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Nice! I got an Rguns PU about a month ago and it has electro-penciled SN on the mount. No biggy, it has the Rguns import mark
Let us know how it shoots.

I have had my greasy little fingerprints on this too. The only Mosin sniper I have ever had in my hands. Got to admit, it felt very nice. Thanks MM.

You should have been here to shoot it this past weekend. It was sweeeeeeet! The adjustment screws were peened in place (at the arsenal I assume), but they are still holding a good zero. The windage knob is perfect sitting on 0 and I just moved the elevation knob to +1 and it was spot on at 100yds.
