Bent bolt handles on the Mosin rifle were only used on the sniper rifles like the PU sniper you will see in many topics on the forum. When sniper rifles were decommissioned due to wear the bolt body's were returned to the parts pile, and it would seem sometimes got reused on non sniper rifles. I am assuming here that it has a stamped serial number matching the ones on the rest of the rifle, and someplace there is a small Tula star, or Izhevsk stamp on it, that would make it a legit Soviet part and not one of the aftermarket ones. These bolt body's have been reproduced, and used by dealers to make the rifle somehow more attractive to buyers who were thinking of scoping the rifle.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

this is an "RGun" Mosin Nagant so I'm assuming its real then according to the sticky I read
so then what scope system would be applicable to this there seems to be quite a few out there from chinese, ATI, Russian originals and long relief.
go with modern nitrgen filled or older pluse drilling and tapping and wood inletting
You guys tell me what would you'all do?

It's an R guns import, but not a PU sniper, making it into a PU would be creating a fake, we do not condone that on this board, and it is against board policy.
