Classic PU's ?

Post by ffeng31 »

Classic is offering what they are calling arsenal refurbished PU snipers . They advertise them as having gone through varying amounts of refurbishment and that they all are wearing original mounts and scopes. They say they shipped from the Molot factory. Does anyone know if these are on par with the R guns snipers? http://www.classicfirearms.com/c-r-elig ... -and-mount

No they aren't. Not from a collectors standpoint anyway. The magic word is Molot. They may be real but no one knows for sure because no one knows where they're getting these from and whether they were arsenally refurbed or made/assembled for the retail market by some other non military entity. I have one and it looks like the real thing but because they have no paper trail showing that they actually were from an arsenal like the RGuns rifles they are still considered an unknown.

Lot of money to spend on a maybe.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Gotcha .  Thanks for the information. I've made the mistake once and would like to avoid doing it again.

Buy em. shoot em, have fun..paper trails can be faked faster than guns....but you'd better buy one cause they won't last forever! Or you can sit around and talk about the good ol' days. I could have bought a 1903 A3 sniper in 1987 for $1,200.00. Couldn't afford it he also had No4 Mk1 T's complete for a little more. Look at them now!

I have one from Classic Arms I love it! and I'm not worried about the paper trail. As I said paper trails can be faked and we're getting them from the Russians????? When did they become so honest????? lol

Yes I was in the service during the cold war!!! I don't trust them ruskies! lol

Just buy one.
