considering a Yugo Zastava AKM-47 NPAP

Post by pacolo90 »

Does anyone own one of these? I'm considering picking one up as my first AK from J&G. I have found very little reviews on them, but from what i did find, they seemed pretty solid. Any opinions? Thank :)

If they are built anything like the Yugo SKS then they should be good. It's hard to do a truly bad job on a AK47.

If thats the rifle I'm thinking it is, i've looked into them too. From what I can tell they are very good rifles.

There was one, not a Bulgarian, that I held years back, it had a milled receiver, built like a brick shit house, is that the one?

This would have been in the 90's sometime, well before the Romanian AK's came on the market. I already owned the SLR95 Bulgarian so that wasn't it, and I don't think the Chinese made a milled receiver AK. It had light wood, but not the piss yellow of the Maddi, before anyone suggests it, this was a new AK, not a early Soviet AK sneaked home from someplace, my friends gunshop had it.

The Yugo with the milled reciever is a M70 and they are really nice. Built well. Used to be priced around $700 not sure what they are now. :D

I have one and its a great rifle. Haven't had one bit of trouble with it, and its a blast to shoot a couple hundred through it per range visit.

I have one too. They are great guns ( l love the forward grip) take all the AK mags and shoots pretty accurately. I think the price has gone up - naturally, but they are well made and might be the last of cheapie AKs. And the folding wire stock is not as bad to use as I thought. All around good gun.

Me too, I traded for a WASR 10/63 a few months ago thinking I had gotten an "even" deal. I had $500 in my trade. Hindsight being better than it normally is, it looks like I came out pretty good. One things for sure, everyone and their daddy is stocking up right now and prices have gone through the roof... :beek:

A full G for a WASR? If That's the case a Bulgarian SLR95 should be worth 5, maybe 6 large.
