My very first rifle was a Mosin Nagant i bought a few months ago. It was to be my Christmas present. Two Mosin Nogants later, I receive word that my Romanian .22 Trainer from AIM is in at my FFL. This is now my Christmas present. lol.
Unlike the MNs, there are not too many videos out there on these trainers, as far as real information, or disassembly. So if anyone knows of one, I would really appreciate it. Or maybe if someone has time to make a quick video on them, that would be cool also. (hint, hint, nudge, nudge,....JYD) I have found PDFs on the subject. But they have not been all that clear. I have seen many many warnings saying how parts will fly away if not done correctly. I also saw one page that said you have to have a vice to disassemble the bolt. I hope not, cause I don't have one.
Can't wait for Christmas. he he.

FREEDOM...USE IT OR LOSE IT!!
Re: Romanian .22 Trainer Disassembly
I don't really see a need to disassemble it that far unless you have all the proper tools and experience. I would imagine that some good blasts with brake cleaner would clean the bolt sufficiently.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I agree, but every body needs to have springs shot across the room at least once.millman wrote:I don't really see a need to disassemble it that far unless you have all the proper tools and experience. I would imagine that some good blasts with brake cleaner would clean the bolt sufficiently.

You guys are funny. One thing to note as a reminder. Remove the bolt from the rifle before using brake cleaner. It will destroy the finish on the stock.

I hate to break it to you, but this might be one of the few that JYD doesn't have.
I agree with millman, I wouldn't try to totally take it apart, although I did it and it wasn't a nice time.

But I do understand it is not a popular subject/topic. So I will try to research it on my own.
