My sniper just arrived, her cousin posted below

IMG_0673 (Medium).jpg
Just received this late last week.
1943 Izhevsk, serial number КУ1807
I noticed it is only a couple hundred serial numbers off the RGuns sniper posted just below this post here: http://www.russian-mosin-nagant-forum.c ... =36&t=8690

Mine came in an ATI box.
I haven't cleaned it, only pulled rifle/bolt/scope out of the sealed bags.
Best I can tell this must be one of the last of the 2012 batch that came in from ATI and IO?

Welcome to the board, those with more PU sniper knowledge than I will be along soon to have a look, I am not familiar with ATI snipers, but surely someone around here is.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Sup, coz? Close serial numbers, that's pretty neat. When are you going to take her to the range? I'm taking mine for the first time in a couple of weeks. The adjustment knob screws on my scope were peened in place, so hopefully it's actually still in zero. Are yours?

I will look at my scope and let you know this weekend.
I just ordered mine, got it from Impact Guns. They were out and I got an email saying they got one in a shipment, so nabbed it.
Yes, the serial number being that close is something. I suppose most all of these rifles have a history to them.
It was nice having your pics to compare mine to with all the controversy about "real" "fake" etc, especially since yours was from RGuns.
This weekend it will be cosmoline removal time for mine. Then hopefully before Christmas to fire her.
