Seeing Double?

Post by martin08 »

I took a picture of my recently acquired 1944 Tula Mosin Nagant M44, and it looked like this...

.... anyone else seeing double?

Image

And now, the rest of the story....

.... I bought a Tula M44 on Gunbroker last month. With free shipping, and only a $201 bid, I figured I didn't get hurt too much.

When the seller received my payment, the FFL transfer information was somehow lost on his end. After a few days of fruitless search on his part, he asked me to send another transfer confirmation. AND, that he would send another entire gun for the delay and trouble. I didn't argue!

Anyway, the double vision is actually a REAL 1946 Izhevsk carbine. Nothing like 1990's pricing - two carbines for $200. And both still in cosmoline, to boot. Way cool. Now, more pics and thanks for looking.

Good for you, and it does not usually work that way for me. Good looking pair of rifles for sure.

Did he make you sign your FFL in blood? Was Faust in the background playing his violin?

Matt from Tombstone once did that to me after he dropped my newly purchased Finn M91/30 Tikka and broke of the toe splice on the stock. Refunded my card and sent me the rifle anyway, class act. Nice M44's :)
