I haven't run into any red lettered rifles yet.

A red crayon would highlight the numbers :)

A little clear shellac applied over the markings would preserve the color, that is what shellac is, it's a preservative once commonly used to preserve steel parts while in storage.

:vconfused: Are these all rifles painted with the suicide Agent Orange? :vconfused:
If so, then they are all sleeper rifles and need to be confiscated to go through de-toxication measures like clean-licking. So what do we CA people do? Where can we send our rifles other than directly to BATFE in Sacramento? :vconfused: We Californicated Mosin fans need an answer, asap....help! :chuckles: :chuckles: :chuckles:

I was thinking just how rediculous that whole cyanide story is. Can you imagine a group of guys in a confined space together, cyanide rifles at the ready, and it starts to rain. I can't blame the person that bought that rifle for 150.00 as that isn't too bad, but I hope they weren't buying that story.

Closest I've got to a red lettered Mosin, I guess someone before me went and licked all the good stuff off, died, and it went back on the market

I have a Hungarian M44 with the red lettering, finding the pics would take all day , maybe later. I also have a red tire crayon so any of my Mosins could have red lettering :)

I have two red lettered rifles. They tend to stick out when you are searching through a rifle crate :).
