New purchase and research
Greetings, I am a new MN 91/30 owner. The rifle was produced in Izhevsk, 1943. All matching SN with the exception of the PU scope which is stamped 1942, the serial number and date on the scope is forward of the elevation and windage adjustments between the two "rings."
After reading multiple articles, I am trying to figure out if this was an original arsenal manufactured sniper. The serial number starts with "BK", the scope mount is stamped with the same SN as the rest of the rifle, and there is no numbering on the left side of the barrel/receiver. Any input would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, your first post is counted. Good pictures would probably help with the ID, I will leave that to the sniper experts
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Welcome and what they said.
Re: New purchase and research
Any electro penciles serials on the scope? I read if the scope has electro penciled serial to match the rifle that means the rifle and scope did not belong together from birth. But yes show us pictures please.

i do not know what you have. i know they sell good repro scopes with year markings on the scope 42-43-44. my pw arms [ big 5] FAKE
sniper is the proper replacemt scope without a year on it. the scope number is electrolyzed on the scope mount. the scope number should be stamped onto the left side of the barrel if it is a Izhevsk sniper. others here know more about this than i do.sounds like a nice sniper ENJOY
Re: New purchase and research
What is the arsenal marking and serial number on the scope?
What does the import marking on the rifle say, and where is it located?

It looks like hcswatsniper has forgotten to check back in over 2 weeks. I hope he bookmarked the forum when he joined. I forgot to do that a long time ago and it took me months to find my way back.
