A local shop near me has 3 in right now, not getting much attention except from me when I go in. Are they safe to shoot with modern ammo? Are there any markings/features I should look for? I know at least 2 have Turkish markings. What kind of price are they going for? Any input would be appreciated....

The scope mount was the sniper type, with the stock cut. I didn't buy it due to my suspicion of its authenticity, and the $850 asking price.

Yesterday at a local gun shop I saw a Mosin in what looked to be an 1891 stock. It had a Tikka receiver dated 1941, and also had a Soviet marked sniper scope on it. Was this type rifle ever produced or did someone just throw some parts together?

Picked up my first Mauser the other day, a yugo 24/47. What size bore brush do I use to clean it. I know 8mm is equlivant to .3149. Is a 30 cal brush too small?

Had some fun this weekend, I think I exceeded the caliber rating on my spinning plink target. 3 holes from
my new T53, one from my M24/47 Mauser. Shooting from about 50 yards away.
