Mine has one shim which is under the rear tang. That one must have straightened the rifle out.

I usually leave things alone as well and I'm sure people will disagree with me on this but if you are gonna put anything on it use Tom's 1/3 mix it won't harm the present finish at all.

Another correction it's serial is 200523 not 565.

I miss typed that sorry I was meaning it was a low number for a straight stock. I'm a goof.

I got a low serial number for the replacement from classic i think it would have orignally been in a straight stock. Im happy with it though its a nice rifle. Its serial number is 200565. Ill post some pics of it soon.

I got one out of the first batch and all was well until I fully broke it down. The stock was a postwar and had a huge crack in the bed of the stock so I sent it back and got another one. Which is way nicer than the first rifle I received.

I just saw the sakos are already gone. Damn that was fast.

I was curious to see if they bumped the price up too.

Thanks for posting this! I love reading about mosins of all sorts. My only question is as someone above posted how is the accuracy on one of these? I have never seen one in person have read a bit about them but this eexplained it much better than anything I have read. Thanks!

Yeah it was 45$ extra for hand select Sakos when they first posted the rifles for sale. That's why i went with a standard. Hell just to get a standard Sako was 25$ extra I believe over a VKT which I should have gambled on that first.

I'll get pics up of mine here later on today. I didn't not do the hand select as I didn't want to pay 45$ extra for it.

Your metal makes mine look like a rat but my stock is in way better shape. If you can post a bore pic would love to see it.

Willy I agree with you. Mine has a hairline crack very small near the tang. The handguard was trashed but I got a nos one coming for it. The bore was good on mine though.

Mine had maybe around 10% blueing left on it if that.

I got a rifle from them an i'm good with it I was just bitching about not getting a sling.

I contacted them and all they had to say was we ran out of them and if we get anymore we will send you one. Ahhh ohh well whatever.

I would have been alright with a ratty sling

They had a so called Gaylord that was full of slings and that's all that was in it.
