Re: GP1975
This will be my first build from the mass reading I have been doing it seems not all that hard to do just having tools to do it is the key. I'm gonna buy a pair of bolt cutters and modify them to use to press rivets. My receiver is at childers getting heat treated. I'm gonna send him my barrel to po...

Re: considering a Yugo Zastava AKM-47 NPAP
There were milled receiver chinese aks. A buddy at my local gun shop had a factory 386 and it was very nice. Had a heft to it and the blueing was gorgeous.

Re: my ammo find
Nice man I wish I could stumble on that type of find. I did see a guy on Gunboards had the yugo ammo crate of 1000 or so rounds for like 412 bucks I didn't have the dough to get it or I would have.

Re: Stuck Yugo gas valve
Those are beautiful rifles I really like the stock on the Romanian. My chinese has the spike bayonet I really wish it had the blade type as the spike on mine will not stay in the groove when you are holding the rifle to fire it. It droops down a little bit and haven't figured out a way to remedy tha...

Re: Stuck Yugo gas valve
It had been soaking for 3 days in wd-40,pb blaster and some carb cleaner. I even busted out the torch to heat it up a little bit. Still after all of the no go. So today I had the idea of tapping down the button to depress it and got a punch and started to tap it to the middle. Well is started moving...

Re: Gun Show M44
For surface rust I use a brass bristled brush and a little bit of oil and scrub it away never mess with the blueing of the rifles either.

Re: Polish M44 number below butt plate
I'll try and get a pic of the whole sling on here tomorrow it is a bit shorter than my 91/30 sling. Rick Reich told me he had some pole slings and other stuff for a m44 and that is what he sent me so I guess it is a pole sling he would know but I haven't seen em look like mine.
